How it all began

In 2021, DoubleTree by Hilton Sharjah Waterfront decided to open a Levantine restaurant with a rich culture that reflects Sharjah’s vibrant and warm scene, the concept of Majdolin is not only back-to-the-roots dishes and recipes that everyone can enjoy, it’s also a tradition being preserved, combined with our signature twist for every dish, our design, and atmosphere that you will only find here.

How did Majdolin get its name?

Majdolin is a common name found across the levant and the Arab world. the name comes from the ancient village of majdal in historic Palestine. Throughout times, many villages and towns in the levant have been named majdal honoring the historic village, the name means strong and fertile land or to braid and intertwine, and that is what has inspired our restaurant’s purpose, as Majdolin has been bringing people together for a year, to enjoy the flavors and cultural common ground of the levant cuisine.
